There is no leadership activity more misunderstood, abused and ignored than the act of implementing change.  If it seems like it is a lot of work to implement organizational change effectively…. it’s because it is!

What is Change Management?

Change management assists leaders in identifying the people risks that may have an impact on the effective implementation of any new initiative or change.  Its’ focus is to develop & execute appropriate mitigation plans that manage the people side of any change.  These plans can be integrated into any overall project management process.

Why is Change Management important?

Without paying attention to the impact of a change on the people who have to either implement the change or who will be affected by it, implementation is often less than optimum.  Leaders run the risk of ending up with only superficial adoption of the change - and few or none of the intended benefits will be realized!
